Beau Bridges was born on December 9, 1941 – only two days after Pearl Harbor was attacked. Beau Bridges has two other siblings who were also actors and actresses in their own right, namely Jeff Bridges and Cindy Bridges.
Beau Bridges is a true-blue American born in Los Angeles California. He is actually named after his father, as his real name is Lloyd Vernet Bridges III. Beau was just a nickname but he eventually adapted it to be his screen name.
Beau Bridges started his career in 1948, in a small role in the movie “No Minor Vices”. He played Bertram in the story and had very active in the movies and TV since then. He also appeared in the movie entitled “The Red Pony”, “Sidekicks” and just recently, “Spinning Into Butter” with Sarah Jessica Parker and Miranda Richardson.
Beau was married twice. First it was with Julie Landfield, with whom he had two sons, Casey and Jordan. They were divorced in 1984 after 20 years of marriage. In the same year, he married Wendy Treece and together, they had three children. Their eldest is Dylan, then Emily, and the youngest was Zeke.
Beau Bridges had graced as many TV shows as he made movies. He played parts for TV series like “Stargate SG-1″, “Harts of the West”, and “The Agency”. He also appeared in the famous shows “The Outer Limits” and “Will and Grace”.
Beau Bridges stands 5′10″ tall and loves playing the guitar like his brother Jeff. He also was into basketball during his college years and even dreamt of making it big in the sport. Beau Bridges‘ first directorial job happened with “The Kid from No Where” in 1982. The film was made for TV. It was followed by several other directorial stints, with the last one shown in 1994. It was entitled “Secret Sins of the Father” and he made that film is for TV.

I wish they had continued the Stargate episodes. I really enjoyed watching Beau and the the others in that show.
